"How to Shift from Racing to Cruising": Building Resilience in a Fast-Paced Brain

"How to Shift from Racing to Cruising": Building Resilience in a Fast-Paced Brain

I want to take you on a ride through my personal journey.

As a lifelong action-taker, my nervous system operates like a race car engine, revving at a different pace than the average.

I used to wait until the last lap to shift into high gear, accomplishing tasks with lightning speed just before the finish line.

But I've learned that relying solely on this way of working can cause burnout and wear and tear on the body over time.

Hormonal changes from pregnancy and childbirth, as well as external stressors like systemic or health issues, can add to the load and make it even more challenging to keep the engine running smoothly.

I invested in therapy, personal growth, coaching, and mentorship over the years, starting very early on, to improve various aspects of my life, but I found they didn't quite get to the root of it - which was how to rewire the functioning so that it did not take this big a toll on health, connection, and emotions while keeping the aspects of this wiring that felt fun and unique.

That's why I put together my own personal growth path over the years, through trial and error, before training and getting certified in Somatic Experiencing and other evidence-based protocols that rewire your nervous system at a foundational level, and now offer it as a program, especially for fast-paced brains.

It's like tuning your engine, brake systems, and suspension to fluidly, resiliently, and in real-time, optimize driving ways based on road conditions.

And now, I want to share the keys to the ignition with you.

Check out my 15-minute video that explains high-achiever neurobiology and how to navigate interpersonal relationships.

This summary condenses two decades of searching, experiencing, researching, reading, speaking, finding, healing, and investing, amounting to half of my lifetime.

Hop in and let's go for a ride together.

What parts of my story resonated with you the most? Let me know in the comments.
